Emergency: See a dentist immediately. Additional drainage, extraction/treatment of the offending tooth and/or a change in antibiotics may be called-for.

See oral surgeon: Get a referral to an oral surgeon. I have seen this before with my patients. May need to change antibiotics, but see oral surgeon.

PLEASE: Speak to and see your dentist immediately. These types of infections can spread quickly and cause very serious complications. They can even be life threatening. I'm not trying to alarm you but it's nothing to take lightly. May require change in dose of antibiotics, change in antibiotics, further draining or treatment. If your dentist cannot see you today, consider ER or 24/7 medical facility
