There is a hope: Severe vision loss from glaucoma is difficult to stabilize, but trabeculectomy with antifibrosis agent and low target iop range (8-10 mmhg) has the potential to level off her vision loss. I wish her good luck.

My mother has severe glaucoma & will have trab procedure. Has noticed some vision loss in 1 eye. What is prognosis?

Depends: You really should ask the surgeon because it depends on the eye pressure, peripheral vision loss, nerve damage etc. Assuming that medications are not controlling glaucoma, it is reasonable to pursue surgery (like a trab) as the next option.
