Excessive fat pad: If i'm reading your description correctly, you may have a large fat pad on the ball of you feet. Or it could be swelling from trauma or microtrauma. Do you have a picture? Have they always been this way or was it recent?

Balls of feet: This is not common occurrence so see a podiatrist for MRI for possible soft tissue growth.
