I fractured a bone on my thumb and was put in a cast. i have had the cast on for a few weeks now and can move my thumb a little. is this ok?

Probably: It sounds like you had a thumb spica cast (the cast extends to include your thumb) placed, and now you're wiggling your thumb inside the cast? Presumably you sustained a fracture of the metacarpal, which should be well protected inside the cast, so wiggling the thumb a little is fine. Check with your orthopedist for clarification.
