Dr. Robert Andrews answered

That's : That's difficult to answer without a lot more information. There are different kinds of liver cancers, and they have different prognoses. There are also cancers that start in other organs then move to the liver. Those have yet another set of outcomes. There are even tumors of the liver that fall somewhere between cancers and benign lesions, and those patients may have completely normal life expectancies. You'll have to elaborate bit more to get things narrowed down.

Depends on factors: There are a several factors which contribute to survival rate in all cancers, including liver cancer. Is it metastatic or primary? What is the general health of the patient? Does it involve regional blood vessels? What is the tumor type? So, seek the advice of a trained liver surgeon and an oncologist, and be your best advocate. Good luck.
