what has proven most effective in treating trichotillomania?

1 doctor answer
Dr. George Klauber
Specializes in Pediatric Urology
Hair pulling : Self-limiting in children, most grow out of it after they r made made aware of problem. In adults frequently associated with clinical depression which needs 2B treated. Overall habit reversal training (hrt) probably most effective & requires psychological or pachiatric input. Hypnosis &/or biofeedback can be very effective in some.
