Need evaluation: Sometimes they will go away by themselves but often a mucocele needs to be treated surgically. It is a good thing to see an oral surgeon for an evaluation and treatment.

Diagnosis: If it's a Mucocele it may resolve in a few weeks only to periodically reoccur. If it's your sublingual vein it requires no treatment. Hav3 the area examined by your Dentist or an a Oral Surgeon.
