my left eye has a sharp pain and the top eye lid twitches on it's on for 2 days. any ideas?

Sinus?: The pain can come from the sinuses that lie around the eyes. The twitching is like a muscle tic--a nerve fires off randomly and make the lid twitch---caffeine, lack of sleep etc..Can be related but it usually goes away on its own.

Optic Neuritis?: If your vision is blurry and it hurts when you move your eye, you may have optic neuritis and should go see a doctor asap.
