Can peppermint tea really kill bad breath?

Only temporarily: Mint tea will refresh your breath and mask some of the halitosis (bad breath) for a brief period of time only. It does not cure bad breath. Halitosis is mostly caused by the presence of caries, gum disease or both, it also may be caused by upper respiratory infections and some diseases of the gut. Visit your dentist to rule out oral diseases. If your mouth is healthy visit a physician.

Temporary: It will only mask the bad odor. You need to determine the source, gum infection or what you ate.
