A 40-year-old female asked:

Currently tapered down from 3x1mg a day of ativan (lorazepam) to .5mgx3 a day on my own, i've taken ativan (lorazepam) for 1 year. what is a safe taper process from this here?

Go slow: It's best to keep tapering this down slowly. I would suggest just going down by 1/2 per dose every month until you are done. That's going to be a little difficult due to the pill size. So next step is .5, .25, .5 per day for a month, then .25, .25, .5; then .25, .25, .25; then start dropping one. If you have any issues, just try every other day at the lower dose for a while. I hope that makes sense!
