See eye doctor: They could be small cysts, or a similar problem. It would be best to see an eye doctor about it.

Simple vs serious: Our bodies always have things that grow and change. Skin, fat, muscle, lymph nodes, bones, can change shape, get larger, more prominent due to many factors. The vast majority are not cancer but simply unusual growths like fatty tumors, cysts, skin tags, moles, etc. Most cause no symptoms and can be watched. If they cause symptoms or change colors, bleed, bruise or hurt, then see your doctor.

No: Unfortunately, you are never too old to get pimples. Acne is certainly more common in adolescents but it can happen to anyone. Acne often gets worse during pregnancy because of the hormonal changes.

No & Yes: It is common to get bumps but not whiteheads. Whiteheads indicate a possible infection. Make sure the aesthetician uses antiseptic and a moisturizing lotion after waxing and that you continue to use an antiseptic type solution afterwards for a day or two.

Closed comedones: White heads are known medically as closed comedones. They are blocked follicles that are plugged with keratin and sebum. They appear white because the keratin that plugged them has not been oxidized... After this occurs, they become blackheads, or open comedones.

A 19-year-old male asked:

The description says whiteheads are mildly red. What if they are not red at all and only appear as white raised spots?

Whiteheads: Whiteheads and blackheads are considered non-inflammatory acne lesions, so most of the time they are not red. Acne pustules also have a white center but are red and raised as well.
