Be healthy: Eat well, exercise, do not use tobacco products or excessive alcohol, street drugs and just take care of yourself.

Healthy lifestyle : Can't avoid all cancer, but it is said that 50-60% of cancer deaths could be prevented if people did not use tobacco products, ate well, exercised, and led a healthy lifestyle. Don't know the numbers for cardiopulmonary disease but i would guess they are probably as significant. People have to be responsible for their actions and realize they bring consequences. Good question.
