You can't: The only way to determine cervical dilatation is an examination by your obstetrician. If you are having any signs or symptoms of labor, discuss this with your doctor. They might feel it appropriate to check your cervix for changes.

EXAMINATION: The doctor would have to do a pelvic exam and determine if the cervix is dilated.
