Possibly: It depends on the degree. Typically, i don't like to treat more than +3.00 diopters of farsightedness or hyperopia, with similar limits for astigmatism. The first number on your rx is for hyperopia, the second number is astigmatism.

Possibly, : Astigmatism and farsightedness can be treated in many patients as long as the corneal thickness is sufficient. This can be determined with a test called pachymetry and is done at the time of the lasik assessment. See a reputable lasik surgeon to know if you are a candidate.
