You can moderate: You probably cannot prevent varicose veins if you have the genetic profile for them. There is no food you can eat or avoid to change this. Obesity does make varicose vein disease worse. Regular exercise helps to minimize veins, as does wearing proper hose. If you have significant varicose vein disease, you should be evaluated by a phlebologist and treated.

Prevent varicosities: This isn't accomplished by diet. Support stockings can help delay the onset. And live a healthy lifestyle, avoid obesity and other ailments that can complicate living.

Sure: Avoid prolonged standing or sitting. Maintain normal weight. You may also use compression stockings daily to slow progression of vein disease. There are no medications or diets that really help. Exercise regularly.
