which is the most effective and best tablets like syndol and excedrin to take for a painful tension headache / migraine?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Richard Rosenthal
35 years experience Pain Management
Personal Choice: The pain relieving medications in excedrin are Aspirin and caffeine. Syndol has both of these plus Codeine and an anti-histamine for sedation. Therefor syndol is a stronger medication and should only be used for headaches that don't respond to excedrin. Neither medication should be taken more than 15 times/month, preferably less. If used more often than this, they can cause rebound headaches.
