i have strep, and have been coughing 24/7 for 6 days now. how can i getvrid of the cough?

Try OTC cough meds : Usually people with true strep (bacterial) throat do not cough. If you have not tried otc cough meds like Robitussin (guaifenesin) or nyquil, would start there first. Sudafed for runny nose. If none of these are working you may need to see your doc for some stronger cough meds, and to listen to your lungs to see if you need any antibiotics and make sure you don't have pneumonia.
