Recently i took a hiv dna pcr test and results were detected and reference range not detected, my hiv antibody screen test came back neg i am worried?

Recent exposure?: Follow up testing is required. Pcr tests have a false positive rate of 3-10%. If you had a recent exposure, it is possible that repeat testing will show antibody to become positive and there is a true HIV infection. If it does not, it is likely a false positive.
