Yes: The symptoms of carpal tunnel, on occasion may be misleading, and some pts even experience shoulder aching. All of this represents referred symptoms, and disappears with alleviation of the cts.

Maybe: Other considerations would be biceps tendinitis, or compression of the peripheral nerves within the forearm (radial or median). These would give some different symptoms based upon nerve irritated. Also, let's not forget a disk/spur problem in the neck causing radiating pain.
