Dr. Sheila Goodman

Side effects rare: Cephalexin is an antibiotic and typically has few side effects. If you are allergic, you may develop swelling, difficulty breathing or a rash. Otherwise, stomach upset is a rare side effect. Yeast infections are common after any antibiotic.
