Start with yur PCP.: You have symptoms of initial insomnia. The re are many conditions that can present this way and you need to start with a good physical exam by your pcp to rule out medical conditions causing it, practice sleep hygiene and quit drinking caffeinated drinks. A sleep study can help also. If it is not a chronic problem melatonin and over the counter remedies like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may help.
