Sleep disorder: Periodic limb movement disorder or nocturnal myoclonus results in slow or rapid jerk like movements (respectively) these could be diagnosed with a sleep study or polysomnogram. Check with your physician to check regular blood work like thyroid hormone or iron levels and avoid caffeine or nicotine products. In severe cases certain medications may be necessary to help you sleep. Hope you feel better.
