Two questions: Streptococci can create a wide variety of infections, but suspect you are referring to pharyngitis due to group a beta streptococcus pyogenes. Symptoms may be sore throat, fever, swollen temder lymph nodes, body aches will generally respond to treatment with nsaids, or more benignly, a hot bath.

Can't hurt: Body aches can be due to myriads of conditions none of which may have anything to do with the joints. On a symptomatic basis, soaking in warm water, with or without bath salts is soothing and helps relieve gneral achiness. However, if this is a recurrent or persistent problem it could signal a serious medical problem and should be evaluated by your physician.

Exercise: Exercise is the best way that i know of to get rid of body aches. If you have not been exercising for a while it is best to talk to your doctor to determine if it is safe for you to start an exercise program. Pick a type of exercise that you enjoy. If exercise is a chore for you, you are not likely to stay with it.

Depends on DX: Chills and body aches can be caused by a few things, fever form infection being a common one. Depending on the cause of your chills and body aches will determine how fast the symptoms can resolve. Over the counter Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) (acetominophen) may help with the symptoms, but if they persist, see a dr. To get evaluated and diagnosed. Good luck.
