Low fat: Small amounts of low fat food would be appropriate.

Nothing special: The energy for your workouts will come from glycogen stored in your muscles and liver. So the most important thing to do is eat well on a regular basis to keep those glycogen levels up. If you have a workout that lasts more than about 30 minutes then its a good idea to eat small amounts of food with glucose to keep energy levels up after the glycogen is depleted.

Herpes: I do not believe so. The virus would need a open sore, crack or cut to enter the body. Could a herpes virus live on food and then brush over a open sore on someone else say for instance sharing a bite on a utensil? Yes , i believe it could be transferred.
