Bleeding gums: You may have gingivitis or/and periodontal disease. Plaque is a sticky bio film that can be removed with a toothbrush, calculus is a harder and attaches itself to the tooth and root surface and needs to be removed professionally by a hygienist or dentist. See you dentist for an evaluation.

Check your gum: You probably have gum infection/inflammation. Go to see your dentist and get a good tooth cleaning as soon as possible.

There are many situations that the gum will have frequent bleeding including serious medical condition such as Leukemia. Please see your dentist first to rule out gum disease. If the condition persisted, seeing a physician is suggested.

Gingivitis?: Patients with bleeding gums usually either have gingivitis or less commonly it can be as sign of a bleeding disorder. For gingivitis i tell patients to start on a listerine type mouthwash, brush and floss a minimum of 3x/day. If it persist, they should see a dentist. If there other signs of easy bruising or bleeding they should see their primary care md.

Gums recession: Gum recession can lead to root exposure making the teeth sensitive and prone to cavities. First its best to determine the cause of the recession which may include a bad bite., grinding , clenching and periodontal disease. There are procedures that may cover the exposed root called connective tissue grafts.

Go on youtube and search for correct flossing techniques. DO that, and use an antibacterial rinse also. That alone should help. Ideally, have a dentist evaluate and get a professional dental cleaning done if you haven't had one done in the last three months.

Gums that bleed: Gingivitis is the beginning stages, and by definition, your gums are inflamed, and you might see them bleed when you brush and floss. If this is left untreated, then the infection moves deeper into the jaw, and it progresses to the more severe, periodontal disease.
