Use artificial tear drops in the evening and before bed.
Not all drops are created equal. Talk to your ophthalmologist. Avoid benzalkonium chloride preservative! your pharmacist might help.

Depends : Your description could be due to an allergy in the air or dry eye due to low humidity and air currents in the hospital. Try using artificial tears when you have the issue and see if this helps.

Dry Eye or Blepharit: You need an exam by an ophthalmologist to rule out dry eyes, blepharoconjunctivitis, lacrimal obstruction and other inflammatory conditions which may produce these symptoms.
