What are the causes of inflammation of the pancreas?

Here are a few caus: Excessive use of alcohol is a common cause of acute pancreatitis(inflammation of the pancreas). Another common cuae is gall bladder stones. Rarely it can be a block in the duct of the pancreas as can happen with pancreatic cancer or from a stone in the pancreatic duct.
