A 41-year-old member asked:
want to tone up my stomach and lose weight in my thighs. need some good exercises for this?

Cardio Mix: You can not target the abdomen or thighs specifically for weight loss - if you have adipose tissue to lose , then consider an increase in cardio and a balanced diet. However, do not always do the same exercise or you will increase your risks for stress injuries. Mix things up with walking, running, biking, swimming, or circuit training. Ultimately you need to burn more than you consume.

Cardio: It is typically hard to lose weight in one specific area. It's best to start with a higher intensity cardio work out and then toning exercises which incorporate your area of focus. Look at fineonedayatatime facebook to get a more focused plan. Tell them dr. Elmore sent you.

What are some ways to lose weight and develop a flat stomach. I cycle a lot but does not seem to help. What can I do?

Decrease calories: You are doing great. To add the flatter belly you may need to increase the intensity of your exercise or consider running at a slow speed. Ultimately you may be genetically predisposed to fat deposition in the belly area and may benefit from some liposuction.
