Need 3% fat: You need at least 3% of your total calories as unsaturated fat to help you absorb your fat soluble vitamins a, d, e, k. That is at least one teaspoon of oil a day. The rest of your calories- can come from complex carbohydrates as whole grains, fruits, vegetables, beans and legumes. Chicken lean meat, fish and dairy products should be eaten in moderation as part of a well balanced diet.
