Yes: Melatonin is used as a natural sleep aid. It is not habit forming.

Should not be a prob: There are not very many known side effects of melatonin. My advice "do not take it for long term sleep problems" just use it for the days you have problems with sleep cycle. Because we do not know long term effects of taking it. Look for USP certified dietary supplements.
