what does abnormal small blood plateletes mean medically speaking?

Usually nothing: Unless they are extremely small, as in wiskott-aldrich -- but you'd know that as an adult unless the mutation is mild. If there are other platelet problems (function, number), this might be helpful. Most people have a few lab somewhat outside "normal range". Best wishes.
