My father is a diabetes patient.he is taking medicine prescribed by doctor.can you please tell me what exactly should he eat as diabetes diet?

Low Carb: I assume you are interested in type 2 diabetes (adult onset). Generally a low glycemic index diet is recommended (low carb - reduce sugars and white carbs like bread, pasta, rice, potatoes). Low calories are good if the the patient is overweight. Vegetables, fruit, seeds, nuts, fish are all good. Saturated (animal) fats should be reduced including cheese (pizza!) and fatty meats.
