can having an ovarian cyst cause me to have a light period? and i have always had a heavier period...im just wondering if i could be pregnant.

There's a chance: Pregnancy is always a possibility. Discuss with your surgeon. Obtain a home pregnancy test. They usually become positive at about the same time the next expected period. If it's negative, repeat it in a week.

Need more info: How old are you? Have you ever been evaluated for polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)? I suggest you see a gynecologist for a complete evaluation.
