Information: Gynecomastia may have one or two components. The first is fat. Theis may be addressed by liposuction. The other is gland which may require direct surgical excision.

Check your meds: Make sure you are not taking any medication that can cause gynecomastia. You may also want an endocrine evaluation to ensure that your hormone levels are normal. If everything is normal, and diet and exercise don't work then surgery can be very successful.

Surgery Helpful.: Assuming a young man has achieved a long-term stable weight and there are no “causative agents” involved, surgery may be indicated. It is often best treated with partial excision of the prominent glandular tissue as well as liposuction surgery of the peripheral chest area. If the prominence of the chest wall is caused by adipose tissue, then liposculpture surgery may suffice.
