Protein powder is fairly harmless when used in moderation. But you do not need supplements if you eat a normal healthy diet which contains a balance of carbohydrates, good fats and proteins in the form of Eggs, Meat and plant nuts. Low fat Dairy and yogurt is also a good source of proteins.
