No itch =no lice: If you do not develop itching and don't see any lice you are not infected. However, if you do begin itching seek treatment quickly. Consider using some form of protection for sex. Many of the sexually transmitted diseases aren't as benign as lice.

Pubic lice: Can cause blue spots on the skin where the lice have been feeding. Nits (eggs) may be noted on the pubic hairs. If you have pubic lice - you should be experiencing itching.
