Can gerd cause dry cough and clear mucus in throat?

Yes...: Sometimes GERD can cause bronchospasm and this bronchospasm can result in a dry cough and some mucous production. Usually treating the GERD will improve these symptoms but sometimes a bronchodilator inhaler can also help with the dry cough. See your doctor for treatment. Best of luck to you!
