Covid vaccine and autoimmune condition like hashimotos. will this cause issues with current immune system that is in overdrive, by way of a type i interferon response from the vaccine? im unsure if i should get the shot?

The studies report the effectiveness and safety profiles. Please consult with your PCP. When offered, a vaccination is advisable unless otherwise contraindicated by your PCP.

Get the vaccine: Autoimmune conditions such as Hashimotos’ Thyroiditis are NOT contraindications to any of the COVID19 vaccines. In fact, there is some evidence that several autoimmune conditions (but not Hashimoto’s) may worsen the severity of COVID19 should you get it. Urge you to get the vaccine as soon as you are eligible
