x-ray shows lungs are good , blood tests shows potassium not dangerously low vitals are good , liver kidney , heart etc his breathing is good .
why does he collapse and lose consciousness ?

Uncertain: I can't say why your father is losing consciousness. Does it occur during severe coughing fits (tussive syncope or cough syncope). Does it occur when he suddenly goes from supine to erect (? postural hypotension?). This is not a question we would be able to answer without having significant knowledge about your father. I hope he heals quickly.
