are multi-focal or bifocal contacts hard to get used to? i've been using mono-vision for years,

Perhaps: Being fitted for bifocal contact lenses can be challenging. If you have been successful with mono-vision for years, it may make more sense to continue doing the same. You should discuss you individual visual requirements with your eye doctor.
