Can a circadian sleep disorder effect your mental health? i already suffer from depression & anxiety can sleeping problems make it worse? i find im not being able to sleep until about 4-6 am & waking up around 3-4 pm?

Yes: Sleep is critical for mental health and sleep hygiene is the first step in the process. Make sure your days include light exercise not close to bedtime. Relaxing activities prior to sleep with light meals at least 2 h prior to bed and among others. Talk to your treating doc about your sleeping issues.

Indeed yes.: Circadian sleep disorders due respond well to use of daytime awakening agents such as modafanil or Nuvigil. Lack of sleep can result in a plethora of negative outcomes and certainly can worsen prior depression and anxiety. A sleep specialist could be useful.
