Unlikely: MRIs are very sensitive in detecting brain tumors of almost any size, thus very unlikely you have one. There are other causes of head pain, like occipital neuralgia or neuritis which results from nerve irritation/inflammation & sometimes responds either to localized injection or oral steroids. Pain in front of head could possibly be temporal arteritis- also treated with steroids Ask your Dr @ it

Tumor unlikely: As mentioned, MRI excludes tumor, and a tumor in your age group does not typically start with a headache. I do wonder about giant cell arteritis, and blood studies should be done. Occipital neuralgia, cervical spondylosis, and jaw problems may need consideration

I am 4 weeks pregnant and because of the high pollen my throat is very sore. What can I take to soothe my throat?

Sore throat lozenges: Congrats on your pregnancy! believe it or not, pregnancy and OTC (over the counter) meds are not mutually exclusive -- 9 months is a long time to go without a headache tablet or an allergy medication! many OTC meds are safe in pregnancy but make sure to check with your ob/gyn. For now, many of the names you know -- cepacol, chloraseptic, hall's, and ricola are fine.

Ive heard that adding vitamins a and d to diet during pregnancy may help control skin itchiness and rashes. Is this true? How much should I take?

Be careful: The body does need vitamin a and d in pregnancy. However, vitamin a in high doses can cause cleft lip and palate in the baby. Your prenatal vitamin pill should have enough vitamin a. Many people are low in vitamin d. Your doctor can check your vit d level to see if you should take extra. The amount needed depends on the vitamin d level in your blood.

I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend of 3 yrs and he ejaculated inside of me while I was on my period. The next day, it stopped and it hasn't came back on ever since. This was about 2 & a half weeks ago. Is it possible i'm pregnant?

Unlikely.: The most fertile time of the month is about 2 weeks from the start of your period assuming that you have a period every 28 days. If your periods are shorter than 28 days, it is possible that you could have hit the fertile time. You will have to wait until you miss your period to get a pregnancy test. There is no way to tell if you are pregnant where you are in your cycle now.
