TINNITUS?: You may be experiencing tinnitus which is a functional issue and will not be picked up by scan. Possible Meniere's. May need to see an ear nose throat specialist. Do not take aspirin in excess and reduce noise levels. Not a lot can be done if it is tinnitus. If sudden onset may be viral related and may slowly improve.

Analysis: Your problems suggest inner ear issues, but also would wonder about a sleep disorder. You might find value in doing audiometric-otological studies and if necessary, an overnight sleep study. Also, find a neurologist who has experience in these fringe areas.
