tender spot on spine (middle). on the spine bone itself. tender to press. sore back first thing in the morning which improves during the day. tender spot hurts when i twist or bend down. heat bag on tender spot helps. no pain at rest or lying down?

Sprain: Most likely this is a sprain of a ligament between the two bones. It can cause pain and when the muscles around it get tight, usually in the morning the pain is the most evident.
