A 59-year-old female asked:

i had a thyroid ultrasound in may of this year and it was a 1.1cm i believe. on a recent mri under incidentally findings, it now shows it's a 1.5 cm. we're repeating the ultrasound in three months, but should i be alarmed?

Don’t think so: It’s difficult to give advice here because I don’t understand why you are doing serial thyroid ultrasound examinations. Maybe your doctor has a reason for doing these as he probably he has information I am not aware of
