A 30-year-old male asked:

Had a spep done because globulin levels were a bit low. the result came back normal. but this time the beta protein was .2+ above the normal range. no symptoms. no diagnosed diseases. should this slight elevation be a concern? all my cbc is normal.

Any symptoms: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, talk to your doctor about repeating the test in a year or so. What you described is not a cause for concern in the short term. Wish you good health!
