i have what i thought was an absess on my right index finger. it started out as a little red pimple which i squeezed. now its a sore which is taking time to heal and getting septic. it bleeds out quite a bit if scraped. i am breast?

Need antibiotics? : A few questions first: when did it start? More than 72 hours & getting worse? Serious. Abscess-type swelling, tenderness? Serious. If you have these factors, then you probably need antibiotic & possibly incision and drainage procedure. Need to confirm infection, & treat. Infection to bone may require amputation (!). Do warm soaks. A HealthTap video visit should get you on the right track.
