ive been having sharp mild pains on both sides of my pelvic/lower abdominal area. they occur on each side on different times for a prolonged period. what could it be.? my periods have also been irregular for the past 3 months

Evaluation : for ovarian cyst, or endometriosis, could be causing the pain. Irregular ovulation could be causing period problems. Insulin resistance/polycystic ovarian syndrome, could be the source of ovulation issues.
