Heartrate up to 102-116 in the morning, when i eat, & mostly during the day. baseline 70. happening after fever, but when temp is normal after meds, hr still races. phlegmy cough. weak when hr is up. dr says dehydration but drank lots of water. why?

Infection: If the heart rate is above 90, this is for me confirmation that your infection is bacterial&that you probably need antibiotic.Treat your infection and fever every 6-8 hours with your pain medication/ fever medication.If not on antibiotics,suggest you return to your doctor. If you are on antibiotics, give your antibiotics 48 hours to start working.Can slow down heart rate by drinking Magnesium.
