somthing has bit my son on his leg. its very red and swollen, and also has slight oozing. there are 2 points where the skin was raptured.

Leg wound: Redness (erythema), swollen (edema), oozing—Consider the viscosity, color, smell of the discharge…You posted "slight oozing," which, in combination with the discoloration and swelling suggests an infectious process which should be evaluated by your physician. There are several unknowns regarding what bit the leg. However having it evaluated, possibly cultured may prescribe antibiotics.

Consider infection: Please see your PCP, have the wound examined and cleaned. A course of antibiotics may be prescribed and a spider bite may be the underlying cause. His immunizations should be up to date.
